Terms of Service

KinraLab is for individuals aged 18 and older. By using KinraLab, you confirm that you meet the minimum age requirement. We may ask you to confirm your age at account creation and at the start of Discovery.

Upon discovery that an account is registered to or used by a minor, KinraLab will suspend and close such account without notice and will process the associated personal data solely as required to fulfil its obligations under applicable data protection law.

These Terms govern the consumer use of KinraLab. If you access or use KinraLab on behalf of a business, organisation, or brand partner, your use is also governed by any separate agreement that applies between KinraLab and that organisation. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and that agreement, the terms of the separate agreement prevail.

You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI outputs are suggestions, not instructions. You exercise independent judgement in deciding whether to act on any AI output, including purchasing decisions.
• AI outputs do not account for product-specific factors such as fabric composition, allergen content, sizing variation, supply chain origin, or sustainability credentials. You are responsible for verifying these before making any purchase.
• AI outputs are based on the input you provide and may reflect or amplify biases present in training data. KinraLab works to identify and mitigate bias in its models but cannot guarantee that outputs will be free from bias in all cases.
• Style Identity outputs and related profiles represent one model-generated interpretation of the input you have provided. They are not a definitive, clinical, or expert assessment of your personal style, body type, or identity.
• KinraLab does not provide and the Platform must not be used to seek medical, psychological, body-image, nutritional, or wellbeing guidance. If any AI output causes you distress or appears to make such assessments, please disregard it and contact us at privacy@kinralab.com.
• KinraLab may modify, retrain, or update the AI models used on the Platform at any time. This may result in changes to your Style Identity profile or to recommendations you receive. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience resulting from such model updates.

5.5. Human oversight

KinraLab maintains human oversight over its AI systems, including periodic review of model outputs and content moderation.

If you believe an AI output about you is inaccurate or has been generated inappropriately, you may contact us at privacy@kinralab.com to request review, correction, or deletion of that output.

You agree to access and use the Platform solely for the following permitted purposes:

• Creating and maintaining a personal KinraLab account for your own individual use;
• Completing the Discovery experience and building your personal Style Identity;
• Uploading photographs of your own garments and accessories for personal wardrobe organisation;
• Browsing and reacting to personalised product recommendations for the purpose of personal shopping;
• Accessing and exporting your personal data in accordance with your rights under applicable data protection law; and
• Contacting KinraLab support and submitting feedback through the channels provided on the Platform.

Any use of the Platform not expressly permitted by these Terms is prohibited. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by KinraLab.

8.2. General restrictions

To keep KinraLab useful and safe for everyone, you agree not to:

• Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, abusive, threatening, harassing, or that violates anyone’s rights
• Upload nude, intimate, or sexually explicit images
• Upload images of minors
• Upload images of other people without their consent (including faces visible in the background of wardrobe photos)
• Upload images that contain identity documents, payment cards, medical documents, or other highly personal or sensitive content (yours or anyone else’s), whether as the subject of the photo or visible in the background
• Misuse the Platform, including by attempting to disrupt, overload, or harm our infrastructure
• Use automated tools (scrapers, bots, or similar) to access or extract content, except for the personal copy of your own data you are entitled to under data protection law
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our AI models, methodology, or proprietary technology
• Use KinraLab to build or train a competing product or service
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Attempt to circumvent security measures or access areas of the Platform you are not authorised to access

If you breach these obligations, we may suspend or terminate your account under Section 11, without prejudice to any other rights or remedies available to KinraLab.

8.3. Restrictions on AI feature use

In connection with any AI-powered Services on the Platform, you agree not to:

• Submit input that is intentionally false, fabricated, or designed to produce misleading AI outputs;
• Attempt to elicit outputs from the AI that fall outside its permitted styling and fashion scope, including by prompt injection, adversarial prompting, jailbreaking, or any other technique designed to override system instructions;
• Use AI outputs to train, fine-tune, benchmark, or evaluate any external AI or machine learning model, system, or product;
• Systematically collect, harvest, or aggregate AI outputs for any commercial purpose, research publication, dataset creation, or competitive analysis;
• Represent AI-generated outputs as your own independent professional opinions or pass them off as human expert assessments in any commercial or advisory context;
• Upload images or provide input that contains special category personal data about yourself or any third party, including health records, biometric data beyond what is inherent in a standard wardrobe photograph, or data revealing political, religious, or similar convictions; or
• Use any AI feature for any purpose that is unlawful, harmful, or would constitute a violation of applicable law, including laws relating to data protection, consumer protection, or intellectual property.

Breach of any restriction in this Section 8.3 constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account under Section 11, without prejudice to any other rights or remedies available to KinraLab.

KinraLab, including the Platform, the Style Identity Layer, the styling methodology, the visual machine learning models, platform content and imagery, the software, our brand and visual identity, and all related intellectual property, is and remains owned by KinraLab (or our licensors). These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferrable, revocable licence to use the Platform for your personal, non-commercial use, in line with these Terms.

KinraLab retains the ownership of all machine learning models, aggregate insights, derived analytics, and all other intellectual property outputs generated through the operation of the Platform. For the avoidance of doubt, such ownership is without prejudice to your rights in Your Content from which those outputs may be derived.

10. Paid features

The Services are currently provided free-of-charge to consumers. If we introduce any paid features for consumers in the future, we will notify you before any charge applies, and you can decide whether to use these paid features. Continued use of the free Services will not result in a charge.

Paid features and subscriptions for business users (brands, retailers, stylists) are governed by separate agreements with those organisations, not by these consumer Terms.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using KinraLab and delete your account at any time, either through your profile settings or by contacting us at privacy@kinralab.com. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days. For further details, please see our Privacy Notice.

We may suspend or terminate your access to KinraLab if:

•     You breach these Terms

•     You use KinraLab in a way that is unlawful or harmful to others

•     We are required to do so by applicable law or by court’s or regulator’s decision

•     It is necessary to protect the security or integrity of the Platform or other users

Where reasonable and possible, we will give you a notice before suspension or termination. In serious cases - illegal activity, fraud, immediate harm - we may act immediately, without prior notice.

Certain provisions of Terms continue to apply after your account is closed: in particular, the licence you granted us in respect of content already used (Section 6), our intellectual property (Section 9), disclaimers and limitations of liability (Section 12), indemnification (Section 13), governing law (Section 15), other terms (Section 16).

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KinraLab excludes all warranties, conditions and representations about the Platform, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Where mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction cannot be excluded, those rights are not affected.

We do not warrant that:

• The Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available;
• AI outputs or recommendations will meet your expectations or fit your specific needs
• The Platform will be free from bugs at all times - see Sections 5.4 for full AI output disclaimers;
• Brand partner products, pricing, availability, or other information shown on KinraLab is always accurate or current at the time it is displayed.

We take reasonable care of Your Content, but you are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything that is important to you. KinraLab's liability for accidental loss of content is limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KinraLab is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost opportunities, goodwill, data, or anticipated savings - regardless of how the claim arises.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (c) any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

You agree to indemnify and hold KinraLab and its affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers harmless from and against any claims, losses, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your breach of these Terms
• Your misuse of the Platform
• Content you upload that may infringe any rights of any third party (including intellectual property rights or privacy rights)
• Your violation of applicable law

This indemnification obligation does not apply to claims that result from our own negligence or wilful misconduct, nor does it override any statutory consumer rights you have under applicable law.

We may update the KinraLab Services and these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material (for example, changes that affect your rights, our liability, or how we handle your data), we will give you an advance notice by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Where required by law, we will ask you to agree to the new version of the Terms before continuing to use the Platform.

For minor updates (such as clarifications, corrections, or non-material changes), we may update these Terms without separate notification. The “Effective date” at the top of these Terms indicates when the current version came into effect. Previous versions are available on request from privacy@kinralab.com.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Platform (or the Platform itself) with reasonable notice. We will notify you in advance if any change materially affects your ability to use the Services.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or Services is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts.

If you are a consumer resident in the EEA, the UK or another jurisdiction whose mandatory consumer protection laws apply, those rights are not affected by the above.

Dispute resolution

If something goes wrong, please contact us at privacy@kinralab.com so that we can try to resolve the matter directly. If we have not been able to resolve the claim within 30 days, either party may pursue it in the courts above.

Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Notice and any other documents they expressly incorporate, are the entire agreement between you and KinraLab regarding your use of the Platform. They supersede any prior agreements or communications on the same subject.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary or, if not possible, removed. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

No waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later. A waiver of any provision in one instance is not a waiver of that provision in any other instance.

Assignment

We may assign or transfer these Terms (in whole or in part) to a successor or affiliate, or as part of a business reorganisation, merger, acquisition, or sale, as described in our Privacy Notice. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights under them without our prior written consent.

Force majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government action, cyber attacks, power or internet outages, or third-party service failures.
